Partner in God’s Kingdom work through PRAYING

Jesus is Lord over all things and He is Lord over every one of His churches.  As we abide in Him, clinging to His Word and relying on Him through prayer, He moves and works through us.  “We don’t pray before the work, prayer is the work.”

PRAY

PRAY FOR DEVOTION TO JESUS

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. (John 15:5–9)

PRAY FOR A LIFE OF WORSHIP TO JESUS

1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1–2, ESV)

PRAY FOR MARRIAGES & FAMILIES BUILT ON JESUS

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:1–5, ESV)

PRAY FOR HEALTHY TEAMS

Whatever you do, do it all for Jesus in His Name. (Colossians 3:17)
Put the goals and interests of others above my own. (Philippians 2:3-4)
Live an honest, open life before others. (Ephesians 4:25, 1 John 1:5-7)
Give and receive Scriptural correction. (Hebrews 3:13)
Clear up relationships. (Matthew 5:23-24)
Participate in the ministry of the church. (1 Peter 4:10)
Support the work financially. (1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 8:1-7; 9:6-8)
Follow spiritual leadership within Scriptural limits and make it a joy for them. (Hebrews 13:7, 17)

PRAY FOR CITY ENGAGEMENT & LIFE CHANGE

16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:16–21, ESV)

PRAY FOR UNITY IN JESUS

16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. (John 17:16–23, ESV)

PRAY FOR LABORERS FOR JESUS

35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:35–38, ESV)
