PRAY

Pray for Planters

Together, we can help plant churches everywhere for everyone. The work of church planting involves all of us. No one person can do it alone. Help church planters across North America plant churches by praying for their specific needs and neighborhoods

Pray for global work with IMB

Today, hundreds of thousands of people will die without the hope of Jesus. The IMB exists to address this problem, the world’s greatest problem — lostness. We send missionaries to the nations to share the good news of Jesus.

37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:37-38, ESV

Pray with other SD Pastors & Leaders

We believe that prayer is not what you do before the work, it is the work.  When we pray, we align ourselves with God’s work in our city and invite Him to move and work in ways that only He can.  We believe that praying together with local pastors and missional leaders is extremely important in our efforts, and Send Network planters make it a regular habit to pray together and see how God compels them to move forward.  Prayer times throughout San Diego are coming soon.

GIVE

Cooperative Program

Cooperative Program Ministries supports SBC/Great Commission Baptist missionaries, education, and benevolent ministries in each state, across the nation, and throughout the world.  Learn more about the Cooperative Program by clicking here.
Most SBC churches in San Diego give to the Cooperative Program through the California Southern Baptist Convention (CSBC).  Learn more about the CSBC by clicking here.  This state Convention provides support, admin assistance, and resources to SBC churches in California.  Giving to the Cooperative Program through the CSBC allows some of your giving to stay in the state of California.

Send Network Church Plants believe that Jesus’ global, redemptive Mission compels us to be generous.  That commitment to Jesus’ Mission is expressed by Endorsed Church Planters by setting aside a tithe (10%) of their undesignated tithes & offerings:

6% to the Cooperative Program
4% to Mission efforts of their church or SBC Partners

Church Multiplication

The mission of Send Network is, “Churches planting churches everywhere for everyone.”  We strongly affirm that this mission is really Jesus’ Mission, and He works through His people in His Church.  Everything we do is to empower and equip churches to discover, develop, and deploy missional teams and church planters, sending them out in step with the Holy Spirit’s leading.  While our churches give through the Cooperative Program and SBC Partner Mission Efforts, they also plan to give towards their own efforts in city engagement, disciplemaking, and church planting, leading towards multiplication, in their own context.  Contact your San Diego Send City Missionary to learn more about church multiplication.

Mobilize the Church

As was discussed under, NAMB is all about mobilizing your church to serve in the way that God has uniquely called.  One important first step of mobilization is discipling people in your church to be missional, and then developing leaders that rise up from that.  While there are great tools to do this, we offer the Multiplication Pipeline to help you train leaders and send your congregation on mission.  We invite you to use our simple, proven survey tools and online training system, identify and train missional leaders within your congregation, and multiply the ministry of your church in your community and beyond.  Remember, there are opportunities to serve with both Send Network and Send Relief.  Contact the SD Send City Missionary to discuss next steps.

NAMB Opportunities

Whether across the street or across the continent, you can reach people with the hope of the gospel, and North American Mission Board can help.  What makes SBC Mission opportunities unique is that it’s not just a chance to pray and give, but it’s a chance for you and your church to serve in person.  We have tons of open doors for ministry, both local and around North America, that allow to share the hope of the Gospel with others.

IMB Opportunities

Since its beginning in 1845, the International Mission Board (IMB) has had one goal: take the gospel of Jesus Christ to lost people around the world. That critical work continues today as the IMB partners with churches to empower limitless missionary teams who are making disciples and multiplying churches among unreached people and places for the glory of God.  We invite you to explore potential opportunities of service with the IMB as you pursue God’s leading and direction in your life.

SDSBA Opportunities

In addition to all the ministries that SDSBA provides to churches in San Diego, the SDSBA also gives opportunities to serve practical needs in San Diego and in Tijuana.  The SDSBA has a Tijuana missionary, Juvenal Gonzalez, who serves migrants and assists in church planting in Tijuana.  There are also opportunities to partner with Centro Shalom, a church in Tijuana that ministers to the urban poor.
