Tens of thousands of churches on mission together

Cooperative Program in Detail

The Cooperative Program is a unified plan of giving through which cooperating SBC churches give to support missions and ministries.  Get more specifics about how your giving makes a difference.

“The disciples, each according to his ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea.  This they did, sending their gift to the elder by Barnabas and Saul.”
Acts 11:29-30

How the Cooperative Program Works

Send Network Church Plants receive tithes and offerings from church members and commit to give 10% of undesignated tithes and offerings for missions and ministries beyond their church context, with 6% going through the Cooperative Program.  Send Network believes it is important for our churches to model generosity and missional giving from the very beginning of the church.  At the same time, we know that missions giving is a sign of health and maturity of a church, and not a tax to be taken.  We know that finances for a church plant can vary drastically from week to week.  We don’t want missions giving to jeopardize the health and wellness of the church or the pastor and his family.  We feel that as the church gains traction, so will missions giving.  We believe it’s a joy to give, and it’s really not about what we get, but about what we get to give in service to our Lord Jesus!
