Sand Diego FAQs
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes eternal change possible in an unreached neighborhood. We believe that Jesus is building His Church! We are a family of churches planting churches everywhere for everyone. Learn more about who we are, and please email us any questions you have as well.
SEND NETWORK SAN DIEGO FAQs
What is Send Network San Diego? Send Network San Diego is the San Diego branch of Send Network, which is the church planting network of the North American Mission Board (NAMB). NAMB works in partnership with other SBC entities, such as CSBC and the San Diego Southern Baptist Association (SDSBA).
Send Network is a family of churches planting churches everywhere for everyone. We believe that Jesus truly does build His Church, and church planting is God’s tool for the expansion of His Kingdom. We focus on the missionary task:
Engage the city with the gospel. Make disciples. Plant a church.
As new churches dedicated to multiplication are born, disciples are equipped and sent out to bring gospel hope to more cities, multiply more disciples, and see Jesus grow His Church.
What is the North American Mission Board (NAMB)? NAMB works to help equip churches to be on mission in their own communities and across the continent. Through compassion ministry, church planting, chaplaincy and disaster relief, we help congregations go to the lost and hurting.
North America’s needs are great. Children go hungry. Neighborhoods become disaster zones after storms. Entire communities have no church presence and no one to tell them about the hope found in Christ.
It doesn’t have to be this way; God has a plan to reach North America: the Church. The Church feeds neighbors in need. The Church removes storm debris. The Church establishes new churches in areas with no gospel presence. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is here to help.
ENDORSED CHURCH PLANTER ADMIN FAQs
As an Endorsed Church Planter, I’m so grateful to be church planting funding support!
Where will the funds be sent? Short answer: Either the Sending Church or the Church Plant that is under direct supervision of the Sending Church. We truly believe that Jesus uses the local church to plant churches, and Send Network leans on the local sending church to provide financial accountability while the church plant matures and develops systems themselves. Here are 2 common options:
(1) The Sending Church receives Church Plant funding and provides financial accountability through their own financial systems. The Sending Church works with the Church Plant to establish financial systems and hands off leadership once appropriate leadership and systems are in place.
(2) The Lead Church Planter, working in conjunction with the Sending Church, sets up a board of experienced pastors/local church leaders to provide financial accountability. Over time, external board members/leaders are replaced with internal ones from the church plant until leadership is established by the local church.
What is the best Ministry Accounting resource for church planters? We recommend reaching out Water’s Edge for Ministry Accounting assistance. Here is a link to learn more. When you reach out if you are an endorsed church planter, setup an estimate on this web page and mention you are from Send Network: https://www.watersedge.com/ministry-accounting/
When will endorsed church planter funding be received? Because of the generosity of our family of churches, we are able to provide monthly financial support for endorsed lead church planters in the first few years of the plant (check with your CPC to clarify the specifics). Monthly financial support is paid out on the first Thursday of the month. Except when the first Thursday is the 1st. In those cases it is paid on the 8th. If you receive a one time payment for any reason, it will be paid within 2 weeks of approval through Missionary Admin Portal.
I know that I may have missed it, but I can’t find my support OR I did not receive the support when I expected. Who should I speak to? If you are an endorsed church planter and you or a team member have a question about a monthly support fundraising payment or a one time payment, please email help@namb.net and cc sandiego@namb.net in the message as well. Please describe the question with as much detail as possible, and we will work to get you the correct info.
