Welcome to partnership with Send Network San Diego

Quarterly Reporting

Quarterly Reporting (QR) is a means in which you as a church planting missionary are able to share highlights, prayer requests, and updates about what the Lord is doing through your church plant.   It takes around 30 minutes to complete, but it brings together major wins across our entire network. Church planters aren’t required to complete the report themselves, but they are responsible to make sure the report gets done for their church plant.

The Importance of Quarterly Reporting

  •  Share highlights/“God stories”, prayer requests, and updates – Quarterly Reporting (QR) is a means in which you as a church planting missionary are able to share highlights, prayer requests, and updates about what the Lord is doing through your church plant.   It takes around 30 minutes to complete, but it brings together major wins across our entire network.
  • Endorsed Lead Church Planter Requirement – Just to reiterate, it’s an administrative requirement for endorsed church planters   Church planters aren’t required to complete the report themselves, but they are responsible to make sure the report gets done for their church plant.
  • Send SD Team is here to help you complete – We as the Send SD Team are here to help support you and your church planting team, and completing your Quarterly Report is an area in which we want to assist as well.  These steps below are meant to support you in this process, and you can always reach out to our team for help.  The Connection Center (help@namb.net, (800) 634-2462) is the best initial resource, and cc your Send SD Team Member contact in the email.
  • Failure to Complete Quarterly Reports leads to problems – Failing to complete a Quarterly Report is a missed opportunity to highlight what God is doing in and through your church plant.  While we know that administrative mistakes can happen, honestly, missing a report sends the wrong message.  Repeated missed quarterly reports could result in funding and endorsement status being paused or prematurely ended.  We definitely don’t want that to happen, so that’s why we are here to help!

Why do we do Quarterly Reports?

  • QRs track key Kingdom and Gospel wins for each church plant – QRs track Gospel Conversations, salvations, baptisms, missions giving, leadership development and more.  All of these “wins” are ways you can talk about how God is building His Kingdom as He works through your efforts.
  • QRs allow Send Network to share aggregate data for the entire Network in an efficient manner.  As church planters fill out these, it allows Send Network Leadership to continue to advocate for planters by sharing what God is doing.
  • QRs help Send Network leadership to share the wins with the thousands of churches and donors who contribute.  We have the joy and privilege of sharing these wins with the thousands of churches who give to support our planting efforts!  When church planters complete these reports, it makes it easier for Send Network to share what God is doing and to advocate for church planting.

Best Practices for Quarterly Reporting

  • Regularly record and track requested info for Quarterly Reporting – We have worked hard to make completing the Quarterly Reports as simple as possible, and we try to be concise with the info that we request.  The info that is requested reflects general marks of health for a church plant, and it’s a great idea to track this info weekly for every church (regardless of QRs).
  • Share the info for QRs with other Supporters, Team Members, Church Family – Share the requested info on Quarterly Reporting with Supporters, Team Members, and Church Attendees regularly (updates through text, email, etc.), because it’s important to celebrate and share what God is doing.
  • Schedule the Task on the Calendar and Delegate it to a Team Member to help – Each year, Quarterly Reports are available to be submitted on1/1,  4/1, 7/1, and 10/1.  They need to be completed by the 14th of each month (that’s a best practice since we are in the Pacific Time Zone).  We recommend making a calendar request for you and/or a team member to fill out the Quarterly Reports.
  • If you have a question, call (800) 634-2462 (NAMB Connection Center) email help@namb.net and cc a Send Network Team Member – The NAMB Connection Center has tech support staff available from 5 am PST – 4 pm PST.  You can call, or email and include your Send SD team member to help you.  The Connection Center is the fastest way to get a tech issue or question resolved.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Trying to submit the Quarterly Report after the submission period is closed – Technically, we have until the 15th to turn in a Quarterly Report.  However, since we are in the Pacific Time Zone, I would recommend completing by the 14th at the latest, and aim for as close to the 1st as is reasonable.  Unfortunately, once the reporting period is closed, that report is not able to be submitted.
  • Adding a comma, dollar sign, or some other symbol in a numeric field – A symbol in the numeric field will cause the “submit” button to be grayed out.  If you have that issue, check for symbols.
  • Having a space after the number in the numeric field – In a similar way, a space after the numeric field will cause they “submit” button to be grayed out as well.
